The four abodes that define the Chardham Yatra are:

• Yamunotri: Nestled in the foothills of the Himalayas, this temple honors Goddess Yamuna, considered a life-giving river and the daughter of the Sun God.

• Gangotri: Situated at the source of the holy Ganges River, the Gangotri temple holds immense significance. Devotees revere Goddess Ganga, who is believed to possess the power to cleanse sins and bestow blessings.
